Penfolds Bin 707, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2005 (6 x 75cl) (OWC)
The 2005 vintage delivered excellent Cabernet grapes in the Penfolds vineyards in the Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, and Padthaway. Favourable seasonal conditions - particularly mild temperatures, with few sustained hot periods, and moderate and generally well-timed rainfall - resulted in high quality and steady ripening of fruit, with full development of varietal characters. The overt, aromatic contribution from the legendary, ancient Kalimna Block 42 vineyard offers soul, purity and character. This exclusively Cabernet Sauvignon wine, sourced from some of Australia''''s most elite vineyards, completed fermentation and underwent sixteen months maturation in new American oak hogsheads.
