Pinot Noir is one of the key pillars of the Bollinger style and the Maison has built its reputation by showcasing this variety. The PN cuvée is the result of research into the different styles of Pinot Noir and its different origins in Champagne. PN is a continuation of the Maison’s heritage and an affirmation of the legendary Bollinger style, while also being a wine that reinvents itself year after year. In this way, each new edition offers a new interpretation of Maison Bollinger’s vineyards and savoir-faire.

PN AYC18 is designed to be shared between wine enthusiasts looking for different expressions of Pinot Noir from Champagne. We recommend you serve PN AYC18 between 10 and 11°C to highlight its unique style and aromas. You can enjoy this wine right away or keep it in the cellar for further ageing.

Appearance: golden with bronze reflections.

On the nose: notes of honey, fruit jellies , quince and candied citrus. Aromas of marzipan and blood orange complement a nose full of sweet spices and a refreshing hint of mentho.

On the palate: Serious , understated and rich, beautifully expansive with a finish full of confit citrus which enhances the wine’s freshness.

Bollinger PN embodies the ambition to bring to light the variety of expressions of pinot noir by selecting the finest varietal from several terroirs, each contributing a unique component to the overall taste.

This new PN AYC18 edition explores the unique interpretation of pinot noir from Tauxières 2018.

Assembly

An assembly with a unique flavour, showcasing the specific qualities of the Tauxières terroir
PN AYC18 is an assembly of 100% Pinot Noir, predominantly from the Tauxières cru. It is blended with other villages on the Montage de Reims, such as Avenay and Verzenay. The base year is 2018. Older wines also feature from our reserve magnums, the oldest of which dates back to 2009.
Its ageing period in the cellar is twice as long as required by appellation regulations and its dosage is very low : 4 grams per litre.

Vision

A fresh vision of Bollinger's savoir-faire and vineyards
The significant proportion of Tauxières in this edition’s blend expresses the characteristics of the Pinot Noir from this terroir. Reserve wines, aged in magnums, are added to bring a sense of aromatic harmony and further complexity to the blend.
