Penny Lane Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 75cl - New Zealand White Wine

Penny Lane is a sophisticated option for the dinner table. The range uses the very best from The Wine Portfolio’s vineyards, pulling from the cooler climes of the upper Awatere Valley in Marlborough for the Sauvignon Blanc and the elevated Matapiro region in Hawkes Bay for the Pinot Noir. Enjoy this range with good friends, lively banter, and great music.

TASTING NOTES

Aromas of freshly cut herbs, lime, and sea salt. A persistent balanced palate with flavours of grapefruit and ripe passionfruit.

VINEYARDS AND WINEMAKING

The grapes for this wine were harvested in our Marlborough vineyard and transported to a contract facility for dejuicing and settling. The clear juice was transported by road tanker to our Katikati winery where it was fermented in stainless steel tanks at around 12°C using X5 yeast strain. Following fermentation the wine was blended, protein stabilized, cold stabilized and fined. The finished wine was bottled in June 2021.
