Jean-Luc and Anne Colombo, whose contributions to Rhone Valley winemaking is unparalleled. Les Abeilles is named for the bees that inhabit the vineyards in the southern Rhone Valley where this Cotes du Rhone is produced. The bees thrive in these vineyards because no harsh pesticides are used. The classic Rhone blend of grapes used for this wine (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) are hand-harvested from 25 year-old vines, fermented separately in stainless steel then blended and aged for 12 months before bottling.
