Times change but there spirit hasn’t exemplifies what whisky means to Glenfarclas. At the heart of the distillery is the Grant family’s uncompromising attitude to quality, and their steadfast dedication to the principles of their ancestors.

Three decades of maturation in original casks have resulted in a full bodied, satisfyingly sherried and wonderfully complex flavour profile. Due to the long maturation, this whisky is a marriage of predominantly first fill sherry casks. As is tradition at Glenfarclas, this whisky was distilled in direct-fire gas stills and the casks housed in the same iconic dunnage warehouses as the rest of the core range.

The Glenfarclas 30 Year Old is presented in a box designed as a homage to the unmistakeable red doors of the Glenfarclas warehouses.

The dark gold colour of Glenfarclas 30 Year Old Highland Scottish Single Malt Whisky reflects the depth of flavour it holds. Reminiscent of Christmas cakes the palate holds sherry, cognac, brandy, fruits, nuts, marzipan, and maybe even a touch of icing. The finish seems set to continue forever before a sensation of burnt chocolate signals the end.

Nose: Full complex aromas with fruit and sherried malty tones.

Flavour: With sherry, cognac, brandy, fruit, nuts, marzipan (and even icing), this is a wonderfully indulgent Christmas cake, in a glass!

Finish: A whisky you never want to end and it very nearly doesn’t. The finish is exquisite with a real taste of burnt chocolate at the back of your mouth.
