• Location: Located on the upper slopes of the Breede River Valley at an altitude of 240 – 350m above sea level. The estate experiences cold winters with snow until late spring, contributing to slow ripening.
• Soil: The vineyard soils are influenced by the Worcester Fault, consisting of weathered sandstone hills and sedimented valley floors with a diversity of soil parent materials. The significant diurnal temperature variation enhances sugar development and preserves natural acidity.
